FAQ

What’s with the name? 

We get it… it’s kind of a strange name.

While living in London, Kate got a tattoo of a bird on her arm. Over the years, it’s become clear that this bird also resembles a knife. So we gave the tattoo a nickname. Fast forward and we’ve adopted Knifebird as our mascot. 

Do you take reservations? 

We do accept reservations for large groups of 5 & larger, otherwise our tables are all first come first served!

What about large parties and/or private events? 

Great question! we can accommodate groups up to 12 people

larger groups, including private events, can be coordinated by emailing us at hello@knifebirdwinebar.com

What kinds of payment do you accept? 

We accept all major credit cards - including AMEX, Visa, Mastercard and Discover. We do not accept cash or checks. 

What? No cash? 

You read that right. We’re all about protecting the safety of our employees and guests, so we’re taking a stand and making the move towards credit/debit only payments. We sincerely apologize for those that this affects and please plan accordingly when visiting us.

So, it’s a wine bar… Does that mean you only serve wine? 

We’ve been getting this question a LOT. We have a full bar, including some killer specialty cocktails, as well as a rotating beer & cider list. So, it’s a bar. Our focus just happens to be on a larger wine list because wine is fun and we like it a lot. 

What about food? 

We do have food available! Our food menu is focused around the three most important food groups: cheese, meat, bread. We serve cheese & charcuterie boards and a small selection of snack items. That being said, please think of us as a bar with great snacks instead of a full service restaurant.
